Functional Movement

 

‚Mens sana in corpore sano‘ (a Latin phrase by the Roman poet Juvenal), translated as ‚a healthy mind in a healthy body,‘ still holds so much truth and wisdom, although this relationship in the body-mind connection is reciprocal and much more complex.

However, undoubtedly, healthy movement is a mighty and important source of overall well-being and holistic health.

What makes one’s movement and exercise healthy is their functionality in connection not only to biomechanical principles but also to the type of daily activities, goals, and/or previous injuries and other health issues.

It’s important to remember that everyone’s movement or exercise, at any stage of life or physical fitness, can be and should be functional!

 

Let’s reconnect with our bodies and help them thrive, not through the overwhelming force and power of so many reps and weights performed and lifted, but by focusing and navigating our daily movements, including posture and gait, to those more complex and sophisticated.

We really have to befriend our bodies again and work with them, not against them!

It’s time to RE-discover the wisdom of our bodies, including proprioception and the individuality of each of us.

Thus, we can safely proceed towards our exercise or fitness goals, whatever they may be.

Because exercise and movement, namely from their functional perspective, have always held special importance for me throughout my life, I’m here to help you on this journey as well.

I can teach you how to use functional movement for the benefit of your body, body-mind connection, physical fitness, and well-being, as well as within various sports and compensatory movement activities.

We can build on what you are already doing and practicing, or we can create something new and tailored just for you – but always functional!:o)

I will also help you consider whether what you are already doing is functional for you, and therefore safe from a long-term perspective for the health of your musculoskeletal system.

There are many new paths and perspectives to discover.

In addition, I can advise you on functional nutrition and supplementation.

We can collaborate through individual or group sessions.

We will determine the length of our collaboration according to our mutual agreement and your needs.

Price for a 60-minute individual functional movement session: 1050 CZK (includes basic assessment, exercises, and exercise recommendations).
